"Light Thereafter" has been selected in the 2017 Official Hivos Tiger Competition at Rotterdam 2017.
Directed + produced by Konstantin Bojanov, Mike Downey and Sam Taylor at Film and Music Entertainment also produce the film alongside Left Field Ventures (BE) from a screenplay by Bojanov. The Soundtrack was composed by Michelino Bisceglia.
Starring Barry Keoghan (Screen Daily’s "Star of Tomorrow") and Solène Rigot, the film follows second generation immigrant and budding artist Pavel (Keoghan), who lives with his mother in London. One day, Pavel takes to the road to seek out his hero, the legendary painter Arnaud (Kim Bodnia) and along the way he meets Piri, a charismatic ex-con, who lures him off track. On their trip, they meet Julie (Solène Rigot), a girl who has run away from home to be with another woman. It’s the story of a young man who wants to become someone else, but needs to be himself.
The cast also include Thure Lindhart (Itsi Bitsi, Fast and Furious 6) and Lubna Azabel (The Honourable Woman). Latido Films is handling international sales and the theatrical release date is set for later this year.
